"Spike for a Cure" for Rett Syndrome

The first Sat in Aug. I played in a 3 on 3 volleyball tournament with my two friends Mary and Travar. I'm rather embarrassed at the following pictures, but they are proof that I actually played.

We played a total of 15 games. Yikes, no wonder I couldn't walk for two days after!!

No only did my entire body hurt, but I was bruised all up and down my arms. I really did look like I was battered.
We didn't take first place, but we made it through the tournament! Mary and I named our team "The Old Timers" and we were able to live up to our name ;)

Hopefully next year I'll have had some practice before hand and won't be in such bad shape!!

running and jumping as high as they can over the sprinkler.

this was another one of their ideas of fun. Running and fall off this bouncy ball.
silly girls, but it does look fun!
Thanks goodness for the sunshine, sprinklers, otter pops, sisters and friends!

Girls Camp

This was my first year going to girls camp since I went myself as a teenager and now I have some great memories!
This is where we went to girls camp this year. It was beautiful!

This was the first year they've ever done tents.
Funny, they wait for my first year to do that :)

This is the pond that the girls swam and canoed in.
This is our camp flag with our standard of truth.
This is the cute baby owl we saw while we were hiking.
These are our girls at the peak of our hike.
This is me eating an apple. Not my best picture, but one of the girls insisted on it.

We all had gold glitter nails that went along with our value virtue.

Little Friends

I've been awful at taking pictures lately!! It's not that I don't have my camera with me, it's just that I keep forgetting to actually take some pictures.

This is Lexi and her little friend at a 3rd grade field trip we went on. Her friend's mother and I work together on the PTO, so Lexi gets to see her a lot. On this field trip these two little girls were like the little baby dolls for all the 3rd grade girls to carry around.
Aren't they adorable!!

More Party Decor

A friend of mine called and asked that Tiff and I help decorate for a surprise party and of course we jumped at the chance! Cause we love decorating so much! (of course we like the bday girl too)

Since it was held at a restaurant we only needed to decorate one table and here it is. One of my favorite color schemes, pink and black :)
The Happy Birthday Banner that Tiff made with her cool die cutter!

Can you tell it's a 30th bday party? These are the party favors that Tiff and I made. Sugar cookies again--yum!!

The table all set up.

Every party needs hanging lanterns!
The table with the cake and gifts.

The surprised birthday girl! So glad that it was actually a surprise to her, much more fun that way! Thanks to Sarah for setting it all up and for asking us to decorate!

Funny Faces

This is what Lexi and her friend do best--make me laugh!

They couldn't get enough of these silly glasses.
Wouldn't it be cool if we all wore these kinds of glasses?

They took turns wearing them and then laughing at each other.
Thought you'd get a kick out of these Lynne :)

Our Annual Girls' Night Cocoa Party

You've always got to start with the invite. This is the cute invitation and if you couldn't tell, the theme is snow. It's a little snow globe if you couldn't tell :)
A few of the party details...
These branches were a lot of fun to spray paint. We sprayed them with the fake snow while we were standing out in the snow!
We had to place them out of the way because every time you touched them, the snow would fall everywhere! If you're thinking of doing this, spray paint them white instead :)
The spread. In the center is our pile of snowballs. Those were fun to spray snow on too :)

We had picture frames to label each food item.

Cheese ball with snowflake crackers.

Those snowflake cookies I posted about before.

Donut holes that were supposed to be powdered sugar donut holes. We ordered them from the store and they were glazed, not powdered sugar. We had to roll them in powdered sugar to get the snowball effect.

Yummy cake pops. You can find the recipe here.

More snowflake sugar cookies.

Isn't this the cutest party favor ever?
Thanks to my creative friends these are just ADORABLE!
Of course there's something yummy inside too--cake pops!

The table of party favors. I love the hanging snowflake!

One of the best things about our cocoa party is getting together with all these wonderful women! (Wish we could have gotten our photographer, Lynne in the picture too)

The Hostesses

My most favorite picture of the night! Hopefully, they won't kill me for posting it!

The absolute best thing about throwing our cocoa parties is getting to spend so much time prepping with these two AWESOME ladies! This is how much fun I have with this girls! Love them!

A HUGE thanks again to Tiffany and Lynne for their creativity, talent and hard work at putting this all together. And thanks for hosting it at your house again Lynne!

Girls Night!

We got to go see the New Moon movie on Friday and it was a blast!
There were nine of us and we got split up between two theaters.
Who knew that the tickets we bought would have a theater assigned to it! Of course they didn't tell us that until we were up at the door, so we didn't have time to exchange tickets with someone else. Oh well, the movie was great and we got to hang out at Cold Stone after.
Thanks ladies for a fun night!
Should we do this again in June? Did someone say Eclipse?
I'm so fortunate to have such awesome friends to hang out with!

Good times. Thanks for the invite Mary! I had a blast.
