SPT - My late nights

I just love the quiet of my house late at night.

This is when I blog and craft--when the household is asleep.

It's been forever since I've taken an SPT.

I just decided to take one today even though it's no longer Tuesday.

This is me, and I TRY to do my best and I TRY to treat everyone with kindness.

(It's so appropriate that my Cricut is in the background because I was up late last night trying to get it to do what I want it to do because I've got some great projects on my mind.)

Self Portrait Thursday

Sometimes I get lazy and just let my hair air dry because I'm not planning on going anywhere.

Well, I wasn't planning on going anywhere, but I ended up going to Walmart & then shoveled my driveway. So much for not going anywhere!

Well, this is my hair au naturel--wavy, poofy and kinda all over the place.

It's kinda crazy to me that my hair used to be like this every day of my life before straighteners! It was way longer too! Imagine how much poofiness that is!

Today I am thankful for straighteners & so is Matthew! Although he loves me no matter what my hair looks like, this is his prefered hairstyle :)

SPT - Gifts

April 7: Gift a family member


This past weekend my sister and I had the gift of "time" together! It was so much fun and we had a blast together! We talked LOTS, played guitar hero, watched the Home Network Channel, shopped, sewed aprons and curtains, ate sushi and so much more. I'm so glad that I have such an awesome sister!!! I'm so lucky!

It's been awhile since we've seen each other!!

A friend of mine has been telling me how she's gotten back on her treadmill and has been doing it daily and I was inspired. It's only been two days, but I can attest that my body HURTS!

Sweep the floor.

Seems kind of silly, but I've learned my husband's love language and believe me, this is how to show him love. One of Matthew's biggest pet peeves is a dirty floor, so I do my best to sweep it so it doesn't get tracked all over the house. I'm not one for mopping, but since we share household responsibilities, that one's his.

Vacation on Catalina Island at the Hotel Vista Del Mar!! That's where we honeymooned for almost a week. Sorry, I couldn't find any digital pictures and I couldn't go there and take one. If I find one to scan, I'll add it later.

I love it when my husband gets home from work and kisses me. The kids get a kiss from Daddy too. It's just such a sweet gesture after having not seem him all day! Boy do I love you Matthew!!!

I totally meant to take the picture yesterday when he got home from work, but I forgot! I'll post the picture after he gets home from work ;)

Tuesday, January 20: I resolve to take more self-portraits while trying new things

So, this is not the best self portrait, but it is what it is. I circled myself in this picture so you'd know which one was me. I copied this picture from my friend's facebook page. This was a really new thing for me. I went to Las Vegas all by myself for a lia sophia conference. I was glad that I knew some of the ladies there, so I wasn't completely by myself. It was an awesome weekend because I got my lia sophia high and I'm pumped and ready to go with my business. There are some amazing ladies out there and it was inspiring to hear from them.

It was also nice because my niece lives in Vegas and I got to hang out with her and her husband too. Thanks for the great dinner and the movie. Loved it!

It's a great way to get yourself in front of the camera since we're almost always behind it taking the pictures and it's a great way to challenge yourself to be creative with pictures.

As you can see, mine are more about being in the picture and less about the creative part. I'm more of a point and shoot type of photographer, but it's fun none the less!

SPT - More Self Portraits

Tuesday, Jan 6 - I resolve to take more self-portraits

So you think this is just a regular self portrait, huh?

I didn't want to miss out on another SPT, so I decided to take a self portrait, even though they look like this...

Check out this great allergic reaction to some medication I started taking yesterday!

It first started on my wrist as a few bumps, but now it has spread to my stomach, my arms, my legs. I'll spare you the stomach pictures, but let's just say it's starting to cover almost the entire thing, and that's no small feat!

Yesterday Matthew and I finally went to the Docs since I've been sick for 10 days and him 4 days. We got a great shot in the bum and an antibiotic. Well, I guess it's been awhile since I've had an antibiotic and my system is not liking it. Anyway, I'm off to the Docs to see if I should keep taking it. Wish me luck!

**Update 3:37pm: Got back from the Doctors and apparently I'm allergic to another antibiotic. This is how beautiful HIVES looks! I've decided to spare you more pictures as it has spread over my entire torso, arms, and other places. The hydro cortisone cream is helping and I got new meds, so hopefully this will be under control, and less itchy by tomorrow :)
