Stumped? Here's another hint:

This is Glinda the good witch of the South.

And here's Dorothy with her red ruby slippers & Toto.

Can't forget the bad witch and the cowardly lion.
Yup, if you guessed Tornado, you're right!
Lexi and Kalin decided on their costumes and informed me that I would be the bad witch. Lexi kept telling me that I was the bad witch and that I took Toto away.

Being the PTO treasure gives me the opportunity to help with the annual PTO Spookfest & it's always a lot of fun. I got to decorate the school all day and Matthew, being the AWESOMEST dad that he is, took the kids out to get all the finishing touches to their outfits.

He found the perfect ruby slippers, Toto & he made Ethan's costume.

This is Ethan playing a game of throw the spider at the spider web.
He has to be put into his costume from the top because the bottom is too small to fit over him. Matthew did a really good job putting this together last minute.
This is Kalin and Lexi playing limbo.
This year I made Kalin's costume and of course I waited until the last minute too! I had it all cut out at the begining of Oct, but I waited forever to actually sew it.
That's what I do best--procrastinate my projects until they need to be done :)
This is Dorothy trying to pin the nose on Frankenstein.
I love this picture of her trying to reach.
We got to hear from the volunteer college students all night long how cute they thought Dorothy was. We couldn't argue with that one!!
A few decorations in the school.

We had a lot of fun, but I'm always glad when spookfest is over and I get to go home and relax.
It sure is a lot of work and I'm not even in charge (thank goodness for that), but it's always worth it to see happy smiling children.
Isn't that what it's for anyway!

You could totally tell what it was, without the hints. Maybe because I live in Kansas, I knew what it was. That is my kind of cotume! Love it! Matthew, you are awesome! And great job on "Glinda's" costume. And Dorthy is as cute as can be. Glad you found shoes! Lion, was stylin' and you are lookin' pretty wicked! And last but not least, cool Spookfest.

I am sooo impressed with Ethan's costume, much more than I could have thought up! I was seriously wondering how you were going to do that and that Matthew pulled it together?! I admire him! You all look so good, the girls are adorable, well, so is Matthew in his cowardly lion ensamble! I love seeing your family dressed up each year, always so creative!

Wow that is both clever and fun! I should have had you teach me to sew before I left. It probably is WAY cheeper to make the costumes!

Yeah, I started thinking about what to dress my kids as in September. When did I finally come up with an idea and start making them? Tuesday, October 27th. Nice.
