Okay, so I have the best husband! I came home from UT today and he had the mud room coat rack up on the wall. We've slowly been working on our mud room and this was the latest project.
Thanks to our neighbor Todd, we made them from a piece of wood and hooks. Our neighbor used his tools to cut the wood in half and route the edges for us. Matthew used his handiness to put the hooks on and put it on the wall. I was so happy to come home and see this project completed. Now our jackets don't have to be on the floor and now we can move on to getting something for the shoes!
This is the cool bench that I bought a few weeks ago at my favorite store in Utah,
Hobby Lobby! I got it at 30% off--love a sale!! My brother Lex built this mud room for us about 2 years ago and we're just now getting it completed. We still have never installed the trim, but we figured that you won't even see it in the room, so who knows if we'll actually install that. I can't wait to have this room totally done! You'd think it would be easy since it's only around 6'x11'. Oh well!

Looks great! I love it when the hubby takes charge like that, especially when it’s a surprise. I for sure want a mud room in our next house.

I hope you know how jealous I am of your mud room! I think it is soooo great, I love your bench, coat hook, key hook and I totally think you should get the mail box thing to match. Love it! Love it! Love it!
It looks so nice! We have cabinets and a countertop in ours, which I thought would be nice for folding clothes and staying organized. Not so, all our coats, hats, mittens, etc. end up there and it is usually a big mess.
I love finnishing house projects, that is so exciting!!! CONGRATS!!!
