My Tree

Since we moved into a home, we have a tradition of putting up two trees in our house. The previous post showed our family tree that all the ornaments go on and this tree is my "coordinated tree". Matthew helped choose the color this year and I always spend my time finding just the right ornaments and accessories. This year Matthew chose brown, so our colors are brown and cream. It looks quite nice and we've coordinated our other decorations to go with the tree this year. So if you visit our house this season, you'll see lots of brown! Thanks for the help Matthew. My family always calls the tree "mom's tree" and the other tree the "family tree". They already know that mom is particular about this tree, so they let me do my thing. Thanks family for letting me indulge in my tree!

Just some of the details...

I just have to put a plug in for the store Hobby Lobby! It is one of my favorite stores for home decor. The nearest one is in Clearfield, UT off the I15 at Hill Field Road. It's just two exits after Tai Pan. Anyway, I always buy all my home decor for 50% off when I'm there. This year I bought most of my tree decorations there, at 50% off. I also bought some last year when they were 70% off. Of course I'm always planning ahead for the next year! Why not save money in the process!

I love it! I'm going to do my own tree too, when we have a house. Matthew gets so offended if I even try to straighten or pull the branches apart to make fuller. Those ornaments are perfect. I love how they reflect the light. Oh, did you know that where Matthew's Grandma lives, there's a Hobby Lobby!!!
