-She always knew she wanted a lot of kids, so she had 11 pregnancies and 9 kids.
-She always searched for the truth as a kid and she's the reason we have God in our lives.
-She put herself through college while working 3 jobs and being a single mom with 6 kids still at home.
-She made breakfast for us before early morning seminary.
-She made school lunches for us even though we complained about PB&J.
-She loved us even when we said mean things to her.
-She prayed for us all the time (and still does).
-She worried for us and probably will for the rest of her life.
-She sacrificed worldly comforts for us.
-She worked miserable jobs to help provide for us.
-She lost countless hours of sleep for us.
-She lost her figure to bare us.
-She comforted us every time we were sad.
-She nursed us back to health when we were sick.
-She encouraged us to be the best we could be.
-She believed in us.
-She was there for us when we delivered our own children.
-She shared her testimony with us.
-She was an example to us.
-She cried for us and with us.
-She came to all kinds of sporting events for us.
-She sewed clothes for us.
-She was close to the spirit.
-She loved babies.
-She was loving.
I know I wrote in past tense, but she still does most of these things today! I only have 3 kids and I worry all the time about what kind of mother I am. I can only imagine how much my own mother has worried all our lives about what kind of mother she has been to 9 children. I live today to tell you all that she is all the mother I could wish for. She truly taught me that the most important thing in the world is family because she lived her life that way. Nothing else is more important to her than that--family! I know that my mother would never feel that she did everything right, but I believe that she did a lot right. She loved us and believed in us and tried the best she could to be the best mom she could.
I love you mom! You are never thanked enough and I don't think you'll ever really know how much I appreciate all you've ever done for me. I hope you can realize what an awesome woman you are for the selfless act you've done of raising 9 children. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Dacia, that was so beautiful. I agree that our mothers are so amazing. I definitely didn’t appreciate my own mother enough until I had children of my own. I probably still don’t even know the half of it, since she had 9 more kids then I have! Mine are more naughty though, so that’s gotta count for something ; )
Hey, we are going to be up there all next week. I’ll give you a call and maybe we can get-together sometime.
That's a beautiful tribute to your mom.
I love the picture of mom, she's beautiful! We really are blessed to be mothers and to have her as our mom!
Wonderful words we all want our children to say about us. One thing I have always known is that if necessary, my mother would give her life for me.
What a beautiful post! One of the best mother's day tributes I've ever read. I'm happy you have such an awesome mom.
